Damn...I haven't blogged in a long while. I've been so busy with this new project and everything about it. So expect LOTS of content and a site upgrade soon. BUT....

THE NUMBER GAME

Soooo...I look on Twitter and I see a shit load of numbers on my timeline. I had to ask what the number game is.
It's basically this: DM somebody a random ass number and stalk their twitter profile to see if the say something nice about you.
I sent a few out...saw some nice things about me, and one tweet had some real emotion involved. Lol. But I asked for people to send me some numbers, and instead of posting it on twitter and losing followers I chose to post it here. Some people sincerely hate the "number game" for whatever reason.

I am going to take 100 pics covering one of my eyes and see if people start saying "yes, Valentine worships the Devil". If you haven't noticed, people are stupid. We believe everything we are told when a visual is attached. We have been led to believe that all of our favorite entertainers are of the Occult, and are plotting to assist with ending the world or something. And I'm guilty of being sucked in by the evidence at one point. But the people give things "power"

Kanye West, one of my favorite entertainers, worships the devil too? Oh HELL no! Say it ain't so Yeezy. Why would you drop bars like "in a white mans world and we the ones chosen/ so say goodnight cruel world I'll see you in the morning.."? Then you drop one of the most amazing music videos in the history of music videos...but you are wearing a chain with a big ass horus thingy on it. C'mon Ye'. But Kanye did what he does best...he got my dumb ass talking.

All the encrypted language in the song and blatant insignia in the video had the world googling trying to find something to tell them what they just saw. Now all "answers" are on YouTube. But get this... People are scared of being brainwashed but still don't try to think for themselves. If this "Elite Society" is real, they have already won.

If this society is real we are giving it too much credit. You mean to tell me that this society is responsible for taking a young man from the projects and making him the top paid rapper in Forbes magazine?

I'm now talking about Kanye's big brother, Jay-Z. He even dedicated lyrics to these rumors of him being of the Occult, stating "I said that I'm a-mazing, not that I'm a Mason". According to your research, would Jay-Z still be rich...or even alive after denying his affiliation?

I am not saying that such a secret society doesn't exist. I'm not even denying that it has its grips on the entertainment industry. It is very possible. But I am saying, please think for yourself. If they are real, this ''society" has you studying and learning all about them. You have shown an obsessive interest in what they are all about and that is where the brainwashing begins. Its sad because at one point I caught myself Googling "the illuminati" before I googled anything about God. Think about that for a second. We just did what this "society" wanted us to do.

Shit...If you are going to be scared of anything, be scared of Google. This company is working on owning every part of the media. They run the biggest internet search engine, they are basically taking over the mobile device market with their applications, and now are aiming at television with Google TV. They are also partnering up with the CIA. Think I'm lying?...Google it.

I think i am the only person that I know that actually cops the real CDs when they drop. That shit sucks, so lets change that. Show up at the store on tuesday and cop the disk, or go on iTunes or Zune or somethin. Damn. Piracy will make it hard for us "up & coming" artist to really make an impact as far as album sales...not that I focus on that any way. There is no point anymore. Most of these albums that are droppin on tuesday have barely been promoted for the same reasons.

Where does my hate come from? I don't know honestly. I think it is because they are the next best thing right after the Ravens as far as their game style. They play hard, they have a stingy defense, and they hate the Ravens. Its rivalry at its best.

I had a real busy week, which rolled into a busy weekend. Throughout the week I was doin hella OT then the studio after on a few nights. Gotta get it in, because somebody gotta fund this movement. Then on Friday Night, I was booked to host Blaqsound Entertainment's Launch Party. It was alot of fun. Met some new people. DJ Scrappy and DJ BlaqKeyz ripped it up on the ones&twos..and I did wat I do when it comes to hosting. iParty!!! This was their first party, and it damn sure ain't the last one. I enjoyed myself a lot.

Shout out to Bryant Brown for snapping some nice shots. Also shout out to Lisa of Blaqsound Ent. for letting me be a part of the event.

Then on Saturday, I had a little bit of time to relax and take care of things around the house. But later that night, I was back to work. I went and checked out a spot to probably throw a party or two of my own. We shall see.

So it ends up that I worked all weekend...that's cool tho. Grind to make it...if I'm slackin I'm fakin.

Possible prevention of Proliferation of H1N1 (swine flu)

Waddup family. As you know and hear everyday, the H1N1 flu virus (swine flu) is a serious problem. I came across some information via email on how to hopefully stop the Proliferation of H1N1, because coming in contact with the virus will soon become sorta un-preventable. I do my best to practice these routines everyday. If you would like to read more about how to stay safe even if you can't or won't get the Swine Flu Shot, read more after the jump.

– noun 1. the growth or production of cells by multiplication of parts.
2. a rapid and often excessive spread or increase: nuclear proliferation.

The only portals of entry are the nostrils and mouth/throat. In a global epidemic of this nature, it's almost impossible to avoid coming into contact with H1N1 in spite of all precautions. Contact with H1N1 is not
so much of a problem as proliferation is.

While you are still healthy and not showing any symptoms of H1N1 infection, in order to prevent proliferation, aggravation of symptoms and development of secondary infections, some very simple steps, not
fully highlighted in most official communications, can be practiced (instead of focusing on how to stock N95 or Tamiflu):
1. Frequent hand-washing (well highlighted in all official communications).
2. "Hands-off-the-face" approach. Resist all temptations to touch any part of face, unless you want to eat or bathe.
3. *Gargle twice a day with warm salt water (or may use Listerine) *H1N1 takes 2-3 days after initial infection in the throat/ nasal cavity to proliferate and show characteristic symptoms. Simple gargling prevents
proliferation. In a way, gargling with salt water has the same effect on a healthy individual that Tamiflu has on an infected one. Don't underestimate this simple, inexpensive and powerful preventative method.
4. Similar to 3 above, *clean your nostrils at least once every day with warm salt water . *Not everybody may be good at Jala Neti or Sutra Neti (very good Yoga asanas to clean nasal cavities), but *blowing the nose hard once a day and swabbing both nostrils with cotton buds dipped in warm salt water is very effective in bringing down viral population.*
5. *Boost your natural immunity with foods that are rich in Vitamin C (Amla and other citrus fruits). *If you have to supplement with Vitamin C tablets, make sure that it also has Zinc to boost absorption.
6. *Drink as much of warm liquids (tea, coffee, etc) as you can. *Drinking warm liquids has the same effect as gargling, but in the reverse direction. They wash off proliferating viruses from the throat into the stomach where they cannot survive, proliferate or do any harm.

Today, Michael Jackson will be viewed publicly at the staples center. This should be a very interesting event. It's kind of amazing how much of an impact one man can have on all of us. But is is also kind of sad how a mans death is being treated..like a concert.
Tickets were made, and issued lottery style to fans that wanted to pay respects to the Great One in person. Profiteers started selling them on ebay for ridiculous amounts.
I find it amazing, even for MJ, to have so much hype about his death, even to the point where people claimed to have seen his ghost on CNN. I saw the footage. Pretty scary. But it was actually one of the camera guys walking across the camera lights. Some bloggers (which will remain nameless) have stated that they have proof that he faked his death and is still alive! I wish they were telling the truth, but they sound stupid.
When it comes to mourning, alot of people handle it differently. How about the inmates in the Philippines. They did the whole Thriller choreography. Check the Vid Below... (and that chick ain't a chick. lol.)

This is getting to be a scary month. Too much death to blog about. I am a big fan of the TV show "Pitchmen". Those dudes were the ULTIMATE HUSTLERS. Billy Mays had the voice and the confidence to sell anything. I saw it "tweeted" 1st by @sinnaminbrown.

FOX NEWS REPORTS

"Mays, 50, was found unresponsive by his wife inside his Tampa, Fla., home at 7:45 a.m. on Sunday, according to the Tampa Police Department.

Police said there were no signs of forced entry to Mays' residence and foul play is not suspected. Authorities said an autopsy should be complete by Monday afternoon."......
Mays was on board a US Airways flight that blew out its front tires as it landed at a Tampa airport on Saturday, MyFOXTampa.com reported.

US Airways spokesman Jim Olson said that none of the 138 passengers and five crew members were injured in the incident, but several passengers reported having bumps and bruises, according to the station.

Authorities have not said whether Mays' death was related to the incident."

I know I'm late with this, but I have my personal reasons. I feel a certain kind of way when artist/celebs gain fans after they pass, and I would dislike it if people assumed that I were one of those "fans". But fk da haters. READ ON....

All artist are influenced. Art is the effect of influence. So, when we lose an influential figure, what do we do? I have always gained influential energy from so many sources, but one of my main influences is gone. His music is still here for me to draw from. Yes, I am speaking of the Greatest Entertainer Ever, Michael Jackson.
I'm sure you have read a million blogs and websites posts about him. How we miss him. How we love his music.
I was in denial when I heard the first news. I was at work looking on the twitter and saw somebody say "MJ had a heart attack". I ignored it. Then I saw it again, then I got an email, then a text...something is really goin on.
Then people started saying he passed. I caught myself lashing out at people, because I figured it was just another Hollywood rumor. The media put so much garbage out about Mike, so I could not believe any sources. TMZ was all over it, but they are garbage media, so I x'd them out.
I was hanging on the broadcasts from CNN via the internet and a friend on twitter (who was watching on TV). CNN was the only ones saying that he was still with us. I guess they wanted the real and final word before they embarrassed themselves. When CNN released the bad news, it still seemed unreal.
The radio started playing all of his songs.

Google was crashing from all of the "Michael Jackson" searches.

"RIP MJ" was cluttering my twitter board.

I got 20+ text messages.
5+ emails.

"Michael Jackson has passed away at 50 years old"

Damn.

I mostly owe my love for entertaining to Michael Jackson. His songs were literally the 1st that I performed when I was little. I would have my aunt put on one of his records, and everybody that was at my Grandmother's house would crowd the room, and pack the doorway to see me. The power was addictive.
Not the attention.
THE POWER.
If you can say "clap ya hands!" and people do it, you have power.
MJ helped me realize what that power can do, and how rewarding it is to have. Alot of artist use that power in vein, and influence people to do negative things. The songs "What About","We Are the World", "Black or White", "Heal the World" and even "Starting Somethin" and "Beat It" all had postive messages in them.
MJ showed me how haters can try to take you down. Even after death, the scandal accusations and lawsuits still are discussed. His plastic surgeries are still metioned. People will hate you even after you leave.
I could talk all day about MJ, and why I will personally miss em. But its evident we all do.

Thanks again for checkin me out once again.
I have a concern ya'll. Alot of people want Marijuana to be LEGAL! Weed smokers and non-smokers alike. People think its gonna create more jobs...no. People think crime will go down..but I don't hear too many drug wars over weed. There are so many things people don't think about when it comes to new freedoms.

I agree, if you wanna roll up, you shouldn't be hassled by the law. Its your body, your decision, and your "good times". But if the Government takes it from the block, and puts it in the store, they will have more control over when, where, and how you smoke. One reason why legalizing mary is being considered is because it almost like the "normal" drug. Alot of people just smoke weed and never jump the gateway to harsher substances. Another reason is because the Government can't stop the trade of it. If they make it legal, they can tax it, better control it, and shut down the weedman that makes a lil dollar off it. So, a weedman loses his hustle because he isn't as available and accessible as much as the local drug store or gas station, and weed will cost more as an end result. The demand can be tracked, and certain communities will be profiled (just like liquor stores on every block in the hood).

The Prohibition Act ring a bell? (Please tell me ya'll payed attention in U.S. History! If not, google it after you read this.) The only difference here is that alcohol was kinda legal, then made illegal, but made legal again when the GREAT DEPRESSION went down. The government was able to effortlessly shut down all the speakeasies, and tax the shit outta liquor. They saw the marketability, weighed the pros and cons, and said fuck it, "Lets get money off these alcoholics".
So if the Government says "Fuck it, lets get money off these weed heads", some people would be too high to give a shit. lol.
So, do ya'll really want this to happen? I think about how the world is goin, and I don't think it will be the best move. If they decide to make it legal, there could possibly be another drug kids start experimenting with, and that becomes the "normal" drug, and the world is gonna be extra fucked up. Gotta Start Somewhere (please read all of it)

What up Fam! I feel like ya'll my family, because ya'll are really along for this journey. I was goin through my old music last nite, and I figured I'd start with material from when I started my journey. I listen to it now, and I can say, I like the material. So I posted it on twitter, and the downloads rates have been great. I was a lil scared to put it out because I improved so much since 2006, but those tracks never really been put out.

In High School I had a rap group called H-Mill. We had the hallways on lock. We sold hella mixtapes, and we kinda split up when we graduated in 2005. In 2006, I was working at Above Ground Studios, and our artist CR had the #1 single on 92.q that summer. It was all about promoting him. I didn't have an issue with that, because I was exposed to so much. I had constant studio exposure, I met alotta local "stars" and a quite a few mainstream artist, VIP access, backstage passes...you get it. I also got to see what it takes to get on the radio, and developed my own idea on how to "make it". I got to see how people HATE so hard. CR is a talent that is hard to come by, and people would come to the shows just to yell shit at em. We loved it. Doing all that, I never got to work on my music. It didn't impress my mentors at the studio, so it kind of hurt my pride. So I just engineered, and recorded tracks at home in my spare time to practice my mixdown technique. I should have stayed with it, but due to the demanding nature of the studio, and my relationship, I slowed down. NEVER AGAIN.

So, here is my new beginning. Everybody needs to start somewhere. There are 30 year old people that are freshmen in College. There are dudes working in Fast Food fresh out of Jail. But they know that they still can make a future for themselves, and it gotta start somewhere.

So I am starting where I should've started. Here are some of my tracks from 2006. It's not too late to begin, but begin now if you procrastinating. You gotta start somewhere. START HERE!!

Wat up people! I'm feeling real refreshed this Sunday morn. There isn't much shakin this morning, other than my music grind. I finally had a chance to relax on a Saturday. I often forget how draining all that hard work is. I've been pullin overtime like crazy, but thats how I always have been. I never turned down the opportunity of gettin a lil bit of extra cash. Plus, I am gonna need it for the promotional mixtape that I am putting out, and the completion of my first EP or LP. I am aiming for a late July or early August release for the first mixtape "Love, Live, and Let Die". I also just sent off some beats to some artists, so hopefully my PayPal will have some extra money waiting for me. Everything seems so held back because I am still just getting back to my shit. I am also so busy with other artists projects, so I really gotta go extra hard to get my own shit in. I got photo shoots, production sessions, meetings, team/sponsor recruitment, and all this other stuff to do before a release can really be successful. Some people say "just go for it", but I need my sound to be polished and my look to be right. Pictures gotta be dope. I'm a perfectionist. That's my gift and my curse. I'm debating if its the right time to start leaking mixtape joints, and my single I'm gonna be taking to radio....hmm...

BUT ON TO SOME OTHER SHIT!!!

I am thinking up a new event that would get alot of people together. Maybe a party, might be an outing to a club. I wanna see all of my twitter fam in the building, where ever it may be. I think that would be fun. Imma look for a spot , and holla at my DJ and my promoter, and see wat we can cook up. I'm all about spreading love, and it would be very easy if I could get everybody in one place. We need to kill this hate, because this hate is killin us. There has been 101 Homicides in Baltimore City to date.

Sorry if you are tired of hearing bout it...I know I'm tired of hearing about it, but I began this post when I first heard the song....

Yoooo, I fks wit Hova for that D.O.A. (Death of Auto-Tune). I used it once, and vowed to my friends I'd never use it again. I said that before Hov dropped the song on Funk Flex! I think it should have been left to T-Pain. But I heard reggae artist use it like T-Pain did before T-Pain did it, so not even he is original (word to Wayne Wonder). I know Roger Troutman and Teddy Riley used it (the vocoder that looked like a big ass straw), but T-Pain used it differently and brought it to the forefront. Electronica Giants Daft Punk uses it. But I think the Auto-Tune vocoder is an amazing creation, made to fix that one note that you messed up on (to all my R&B singers out there). Auto-Tune is never gonna leave tho, because its still very useful. Since I am an audio engineer, I know all of the studio tricks, and Auto-Tune has been around forever, and was used on every Ashanti track on her debut album. lol. I have no facts to back that up. Bad joke? Sorry. But singers will still use it.

I can't wait to start working out of there. Also, my web designer just hit me wit more templates, so I'm happy about that. I'm linking up with the photographer and the Graphic designer as well. Music is getting done. The website is coming up. I revealed the name of it on twitter when I wasn't supposed to, because the name could change. But I got so excited, I couldn't hold it in! This is actually my first Articulate download. I got it directly from his website (which I'm gonna have to get at em about. I'm shopping for a layout somethin like that). The cover artwork is plain, but I think it was on purpose. The mixtape is a direct play off of the success of #musicmonday, and the swift exposure an artist can gain from it. After going through all of the tracks, I found out somethin I dig about Artic: He can spit. Lyricist are hard to come by, and they aren't often entertaining. Most are dry and preachy. He proved how fun he is by rippin the "Make the trap say Aye" beat. His flow always flips during a span of less the 2 bars. He goes from slow to flip flow effortlessly, and shows his engineering skills by sampling Nas's sleep is the cousin of death for a bar of his verse, and pitch shifted it perfectly like a DJ was in the studio. And Ricky Jacobs comes on the second verse closing the song properly. The mixtape is worth Re-Tweeting. Check out his website itsartic.com for more heat, and some cool content. The Hangover and ringin ears

I think I am hungover a lil bit. That's why I had a hard time gettin up and to business. Last night I went down to this Lounge called Cibo's Bar and Grille. Nice lil spot. They have parties every Saturday, and you can even throw your birthday party there for free. The bartenders were on point, but the speakers fucked my ears over. I'm having trouble finishing this beat. I can't hear too good at all, and listening to this music is hard to do. I have to turn the speakers up so loud. I may have to wait until tomorrow to really get shit done. I just recorded a drop for a Y.H.G.M. mixtape and its being mixed tonight, along with some mixtape stuff I wrapped up yesterday. So business is still movin.
Speaking of hangovers, I have to see that move "The Hangover". It looks funny as hell, and MIKE TYSON is in it!!!! FIRST THING I WANNA ADDRESS ISSSS...

Somebody asked me "why do you support everybody else? Don't you rap too?"

People don't understand what they are doing. We live in Baltimore. We are known for the best crabs on the east coast U.S. Not the ones they pullin out of the Chesapeake Bay. I'm talkin about Baltimore being crabs in a bucket. If you don't get what that cliche' means; its basically like crabs in a bucket for real. When a crab almost gets to the top, the rest of the crabs try to pull that one crab down. So what ends up happening is that none of the crabs make it out, and ALL of THEIR DUMBASSES GET COOKED! Baltimore has countless talent, but the city has so many people that go out of their way to not support people. The shit is crazy!
Look at Atlanta, Florida, and even New York at one point. Ok, I think ya'll get it.

What up people. God has blessed us to see another day. Most of us are blessed with fully functional limbs, and a sound mind. We have alot to be thankful for. Make sure you live like you are thankful and take nuffin for granted!

Today is Christopher George Latore Wallace's birthday. Who the hell is that? THAT's BIGGIE DUMBASS! Lol. I aint gonna start blurtin out all types of facts about BIG, but BIG influences me on a daily basis.

For such a short career, he had such an effect on hip hip. His word play and comedy made him a likable charachter on track. He also had them songs that I used to be scared of when I was little. Lol. Like that song where he killed himself, and said he wanted to go to Hell and not Heaven with all the "Goodie Goodies". I listen to it now and appreciate what he was doing. He was a great story teller too. I call myself Young Poppa at times, because I feel like he has influenced me enough to say so. I never met him, so some may feel I don't have the right, but fk ya'll. When it comes to approaching a song, I take on a new character for that song, and the flow is derived from a minimal occurance in the beat, like the hi-hat or the way a piano might be goin off in the background or somethin. And I do say "uuhh" in my adlibs. I wanna be the best "Mr. Valentine", but Biggie aint a bad rapper to wanna be like either.

If Biggie was still here, would Jay-Z still be where he is? Would 50 Cent be humbled? Would there be a Rick Ross? Would Lil Wayne still have sold A-Millie? I think Eminem would still be Em, and him and Big woulda probably been real close friends. Thats my personal opinion.
But we shall never know. All I know is that Biggie infuences me, and his birthday is still worth the candles.

I ain't make it to work, once again, but I got some writing done. I can't really agree with the lyrics myself (referring to the harshness and explicit nature), but those thoughts run thru my mind at times, and ironically, girls love that shit. Me and the fam went down Love night club, down DC. We had a ball. I just don't like how packed it is in there. But the club is nice, the bartenders are slow at times, but in all its a nice spot. I liked it better when it was called Dream. But when you are down there ur in the presence of stars. I walked past Willis McGahee and shit. Some other NFL player just signed a contract with the Miami Dolphins, so he was in there tryna nab a smut to celebrate with. I was in that bitch. I'm a star damnit. I got so drunk, that I am still feeling the drink this morning. My car is at my homeboy's house, and I can't find my boxers (just jokin). Shit is crazy tho. I'm at my 9-5 hatin it. This shit blows. I'm ready to elevate my grind
as far as this music goes. The SONG-A-DAY shit is working out. The
mixdowns are goin down. The material is being prepared. The movement is
on its way. I invited my girlfriend and my mother to write on this blog,
only so ya'll can get a different perspective. They will be adding posts
soon.
This swine flu shit is for real, so ya'll be careful. The US so far has
lost a toddler to this nasty flu. Please keep ya hands clean, and if you
go to the airport be careful. Flights come in from down Texas all the
time, so keep that in mind. Its always something, ain't it?
On some other shit, more positive shit, I opened the commenting up to
the public. I didn't know that it was restricted until my homebody hit
me up and told me. So feel free to check out my previous posts. When I
get home to my studio, I'm gonna post a song and I'm also considering
posting a song idea to get feedback as I roll along with creating

Long effin Day, and its just beginning

Yo, I been up since early this morning, runnin around town like a mad man. I had to go get a bent rim fixed and put the wheels on the whip for the sexy weather. I ain't even get a chance to hit the mall up. But the whip is done, so I have to now get ready to go laser taggin. People was like, "why laser tag?", and I kinda forgot that some people are too grown to have that kinda fun. Lol. But it coulda been free for em. I like anything free....well, not anything, but you know what I mean. I really did it to get all my close friends and their friends together to begin that base circle I need. The next thing we gonna do is gonna be somethin more grown and also somethin that people outside of Baltimore can take advantage of. More music has been gettin done.

Moves have been gettin made.

The whispers are whirling. We tryna get em shoutin, ya dig?

I am kinda slackin on my myspace and facebook. I am sorta waiting on getting my photo shoots poppin and printed and for more music to get done. I want to have my ducks in a row and a pond for them to swim in. Soon this blog is gonna be a full fledge, professional lookin website. I am still on my SONG-A-DAY mission, which gets hard at times. I have to chill when I feel like I'm forcing a song, but at least a song gets done before I lay down to sleep. But the work flow and my composition strategy is improving, and my style is coming together. Identity makes an artist in my opinion, and mine is starting to shine through on track. I'm about to go take a nap and get back at ya'll.

What's goin on world, even tho nobody cares yet.....LMAO!

I'm back for my second day in a row, blogging. Got my twitter runnin, just set up my facebook, and browsed myspace.com for a second. I'm feeling real good about making this my new beginning. I am on my new grind, A SONG A DAY. I figure that I can do my Weezy or Pac thing and just hit em in the head with endless material. So if you don't love me now, you aren't going to have a choice soon. I got allot of original beats in the stash and my mixtape game is going to be crazy. I'm in the studio right now!

My next move is to link up with all my old friends from back when I was hitting the clubs, and running around with my Above Ground tees on (shout out to Nate). I just sent a track to CR for him to lay some drums to, and he was feeling it. So its looking up. I'm about to reach out to my niggas Dre, Clay, Tactics and Jae Poet. Thats the City High crew that I ran with, and we made a little bit of noise around the school halls with the mixtapes. And after High School I ran with Poet a lil bit. Shouts to Team Arson. My man Poe done had a kid and I missed all that. I just been out of the loop.

Thursday in da AM

I woke up around 8am today....so what. Nobody cares yet, and that's the issue.It ain't that I want to be popular or have alotta people on my nuts, I just want to have purpose. I feel like this is the real beginning for me.

I live life in a loop, kinda. Like, I wake up everyday, feel like a nobody, go to work, answer the phones, get off work, go home, make a beat, record a song, and go to sleep. Then I'm blessed to wake up and do it all again.

I used to hit the clubs alot and see new faces every time, and familiar faces were always good to see. But Now all I see are walls. So, this is my new start. The beginning of my new journey.
